Annual meeting celebrates, recognizes and promotes all service organizations

Lions Club District 27-D1 Governor Dick Schwedrsky attended the Janesville’s 2015 All-City Service Club meeting on Dec. 3, 2015 at the Pontiac Convention Center and addressed those in attendance about the Lions’ mission as well as updates and information about the local club.

Nearly 100 local service-club members and their guests attended the luncheon, representing local Lions, Rotarians, Kiwanians and members of the local American Business Women’s Association. They heard updates from each of the clubs about who they are, what they do, a bit about their members as well as their activities over the past year.

The group also heard from Mark Finnegan, co-founder of Vets Roll, about his organization which annually takes U.S. military veterans and “Rosie The Riveters” on a four-day trip from Beloit to Washington, D.C. and back to visit the war memorials and honor them for their service to our country.
