Service Project: Painting at the House of Mercy

Members of the Janesville Lions Club recently spent some time sprucing up some of the rooms at the House of Mercy Homeless Center for the Club’s February service project.

Lions Henry Havlik, Eric Kuznacic, Paul Loveland, Scott Olson (and his friend), Mel Cushing, Jim McMullen, and Julie Press-Raese re-painted the center’s library and two of its bedrooms. The results made those areas look much more modern and inviting, and staff at the House of Mercy was very happy with the work.

The House of Mercy is a homeless center in Janesville that provides short-term emergency shelter to single women and families along with access to housing, job placement, and child care resources. Visit the House of Mercy website for more information.
